Under the moon light,
I walk alone.
Chasing a distant shadow,
not on a land I own.
It's an open field,
I walk alone.
Fear and Hope,
both emotions have grown.
I come across creepy trees,
and the past midnight breeze.
The night crickets chirping,
is spine-chilling all I know.
I don't know how far I have to go,
that I have lost my way.
The night looks unnerving,
and it is here to stay.
Have I reached so far or close?
there is no way I would know.
I hear howling at a distant,
and it frightens me till my core.
Should I stop now?
or continue to chase this Shadow?
Finding it reunites me with my soul.
For which, I walk alone.
