The World is a Soccer Ball

(A football, for me, is the fifth element of the world.. Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Football)

The new player was all ready to start his debut.

He reached the stadium early, couldn’t miss his big match.

He entered the changing room, but couldn’t find anybody.

Everything over there was taken care with perfection.

This sight was a perfect beauty for him.

His favorite stars Soccer (red-colored) jerseys with printed names and number hanging on each player’s lockers; with shoes, shorts, shields, and stocking neatly placed inside the lockers.

Finally, his eye sight fell in a corner of the room where he saw this Red Jersey with his name printed on the back with this magical number printed below it.

His conscious mind was not ready to accept him as one of his lords.

He still waited for the coach to come and introduce him to the other teammates.

Coach was the second person to enter, and the first one to scream.

I mean, come on, that’s what a truly dedicated coach would do.

Coach walked towards the new player locker; where he was standing.

He grabbed the new players’ Jersey, and whispered in his ears saying, “Welcome to the team you are a Red Devil now.”

The player couldn’t believe this, and he was so shocked that he wanted someone to pinch him thrice.

His dream of playing as the Red Devils was actually happening.

Didn’t take him much time to wear his Jersey, and get dressed.

He now walked to the coach, who was still screaming.

He knew that this was the perfect coach, and his perfect dream team.

It was like a dream that came true, and he was wearing the Red Devils Jersey, which had his name printed on the back number 7 printed below it in white.

The coach finally introduced him to the other teammates.

The Defense, the Mid, and the Forwards.

There they were, 18 of them, dressed to show the world that they are the best.

Captain standing at the gate with a soccer ball in his hand, and others followed him.

All set to touch the grass.

The crowd screaming “Red Devils” could be heard till far.

The new boy closed his eyes, and when he opened it……

Aamchi Mumbai

You would know you're in Mumbai only when....
  • People use numbers like 8:14 instead of saying train
  • People have a friends group named "train friends"
  • The rickshawala also gets known as boss
  • The students are somehow related with the college peons (chacha)
  • The canteen waiter is everyone's friend (they all know him, he is famous)
  • Wear anything, its fashion if you are famous
  • Every student has a work experience at call-center
  • People go to malls only to eat
  • No one knows what comes after Bhayender
  • Everyone knows who is Tulsi
  • Bomb Blasts also fails to stop people from working
  • Son of a big shot thinks that he is something
  • There are no rules applied anywhere
  • The law is meant to be broken
  • Vada Pav is the common breakfast for all
  • Half-a-cup of tea is called "cutting"
  • People are more scared of Police than Criminals
  • Any place in South Mumbai is called town
  • Love-Birds are the most emotional people
  • Valentines Day is celebrated with more fun than any other festival
These are just few points covered...

Hum bhi kabhi mohabbat kia karte they

Jab tere dhun main Jia karte they, hum bhi chup chap fira karte they..

Aankhon main pyaas hua karti thi, dil main toofan utha karte they..

Log aate they, ghazal sunane ko, hum teri baat kiya karte they..

Kisi virane main tujhse milkar dil main kya phool khila karte they..

Ghar ke deewar sajne ke khatir tera naam likha karte they..

Kal tujhe dekh kar yaad aaya... hum bhi kabhi mohabbat kiya karte they..
